Why Does America Kiss Israel's Ass

Israel is acting arrogant again to the point of US provocation. It was recently done when Israel's Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's regime announced they are going forth with some 1,600 settlements around East Jerusalem. The US strictly opposes any new settlements, especially around Jerusalem.

This announcement came when Vice President Biden was visiting in Israel. Of course, Bibi feigned shock and said he knew nothing about it. When Vice President Biden called him on pushing for the settlement, and Secretary of State Clinton spent 43 three minutes upbraiding Netanyahu for pursuing the construction of the settlements. He apologized profusely, (for being caught) however, the Israeli government is proceeding with the construction of the settlements of Jewish homes. In fact, the Israeli press announced it would be 50,000 Jewish homes constructed in the area. Bibi plays a dangerous game of" hide and go seek" in the area.

Now, Israel is asking Secretary Clinton to defuse the tensions with the US that the Israeli's created, and made no mention of canceling the settlement's construction. Screw them!

The Israeli government has a long history of not honoring treaties, (except when it meets their needs) from Jimmy Carter's watch until present. They keep saying they want peace with Palestine and in the region, however, their actions are arrogant and provocative. Clearly not the actions of a nation who desires peace. Israel will negotiate, and even sign treaties, and when their actions are required they find some reason like the new settlements, using them to wriggle out of any meaningful political negotiations. We need a partner we can trust to do what they say they will, and not act as a rogue nation

Perhaps, it is time for Israel to stand alone, and take the consequences of their outrageous behaviors. The US should no longer tolerate a partner who uses us as their 'Whipping boy' to get their own way. Maybe it is now time to stop the 3.1 billion dollar subsidy we give Israel. We can certainly use the money at home.
